| 9 of 10 people found the following review helpful:  Nicely designed CO2 inflator that's easy to use but a bit bulky, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Genuine Innovations Ultraflate Plus Tire Inflater (Sports)  I purchased two CO2 tire inflators, a Portland Design Works Shiny Object CO2 Inflator and this Genuine Innovations Ultraflate Plus. The Ultraflate Plus is easy to use but it is more bulky than the Portland Design Works Shiny Object. The advantage that the Ultraflate has though is it will accept either threaded or non-threaded CO2 cartridges. And that is a big advantage if you're on a ride with some others and you realize you don't have a full cartridge with you and everyone else has nothing but non-threaded cartridges with them. This is a trigger activated inflator and although it's a little sensitive to adjust inflation rate precisely, it is possible to give a short burst to seat your tube before you fully inflate the tire. This is fixable, though. Take the time to review the product picture I uploaded.The problem appears to be the inflater and not the cartridges - the neck on the inflater head unit does not screw down far enough or the base is not narrow enough to prop a 12g cartridge properly. This means that on some 12g cartridges it will not seal (just barely). The outcome is a pierced cartridge that leaks/blasts out of the inflater. This would be a nasty surprise with a flat tire and limited cartridges. Cold hands & a walk home. Possible fixes: - Just buy 16g cartridges instead of 12g. This can be problematic since 16g are not as common outside of cycling stores. You can order a box of 16g on Amazon, though. - A short bolt and nut(s) approximately 1/8 to 1/4 inch in length can be dropped into the bottom of the unit (it has a hole in the bottom). This...
