They built it., By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Cambre CDE-1.4 4-Inch Double Wide Wall Cube (Espresso) (Electronics) I tried to imagine the perfect "shelf" for all the necessary components for enjoying my new Flat Panel HDTV. A shelf that would not look like a shelf but would act like a small cabinet attached to the wall without visible support systems. Just a clean thing where I could put my DVR, DVD Player and Sound Bar.I went to the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January 2010 and there before my eyes was the vision I had in my head. I took the name of the company and when I got home I started my search as to where I could buy this unit. Low and behold there it was at Amazon.com. The problem was that they had several variations on that theme and it was semi-difficult to decide which incarnation to buy. I settled on this one and it's exactly what I imagined, wanted and needed. The idea is great except it sticks out WAY too far from the wall. I wanted something sleek and simple looking which it is. My professional contractor installed for me and he said it was not easy at all. He had one of his guys help and they found it difficult. I was really excited to have the AV equip dissapear, but now I have this awkward large box hanging on my wall under the TV |
